Social Services of National Bank
The National Bank is the largest commercial bank of Pakistan and CSR is an integral part of NBP’s corporate policy. It has institutionalized by creating a separate Division and running a full-fledged CSR Program to bring positive change and improving quality of life of underprivileged members of our society. The Prime area of focus for CSR initiatives are Education, Health, Woman & Child, Special Persons, Culture & relief for affectees of natural disasters.
Gold Medal on CSR
NBP has been awarded with the “Gold Medal on CSR” by Prime Minister of Pakistan on basis of overall NBP contributions and donations for charitable, social, educational and public welfare purposes. NBP has contributed in the Health sector by providing financial and Equipment support to MALC Leprosy Centre, SIUT, Noor Hospital Chakwal, Ghulab Devi, Lady Wellington, and Ganga Ram & Bolan Medical Hospitals. Bank also organizes Medical & Eye camps countrywide for free treatment of Underprivileged patients. NBP pays special attentions to Special person and distributed more than 600 Wheel Chairs, White Cans, and organize sporting activities at National Level. Bank initiated project “Empowered Women and Empowered Pakistan” vocational training to help needy and poor women especially women of rural back grounds. This project open and conclude in 2 centers of each province of Pakistan
Wheelchair Distribution
FORD in collaboration of OUR VOICE and National Bank of Pakistan, has distributed 15n wheel chairs among the PWDs of Bagh on June 15, 2015. These chairs were donated by National Bank of Pakistan. OUR VOICE played major part to approach the NBP.
FORD organized the distribution ceremony in which all the segments of society. President District Trade Union was Mr.Hafiz Tariq was the chief guest of event and Mr. Arbab Abbassi, operational manager of NBP Bagh branch chaired of the event. Spokes persons from different Civil society organizations including National Rural Support Program (NRSP) , Islamic Relief Pakistan(IR), Pakistan Red Crescent Society(PRCS), human right activist, businessmen, academicians and journalist participated actively in the ceremony . Speakers highlighted the socio economic issues of PWDs. PWDs also shared their personal experiences and problems which they are facing in the daily life.
Representatives from different organizations assured their future support to create awareness regarding the rights of PWDs and their engagement in daily life activities.
